Spending most of his childhood in the aisles of a New England Comicbook stor in Boston, Marc soon became a fan of such fantasy novels as Galactus consumes planets. When he had completed illustrations for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, he sent them to author Douglas Adams.

After getting no response, Marc continued his hand at art, coming up with different types of concepts to work with in different media's.
